WASHINGTON — A nonprofit street soccer tournament that will feature homeless men and women from around the country is coming to Washington.
The Street Soccer USA cup kicks off Friday at Kastles Stadium.
Three D.C. sports owners are teaming up to help host the three-day event. Sheila Johnson, owner of the Washington Mystics; Ted Leonsis, owner of the Washington Capitals and the Washington Wizards; and Mark Ein, owner of the Washington Kastles, are collaborating with Street Soccer USA to sponsor the three-day event.
Street Soccer USA is a nonprofit group that provides the nation's homeless with a sports program, as well as educational and employment opportunities.
Tickets to the tournament are free.
